Tutors' questions

My student keeps rescheduling at the last minute, and I end up negotiating over Viber. Can this be automated?

Yes, the student or their parents can reschedule the lesson themselves via the link in the reminder, without chatting with you at all. Reminders go out 24 hours and 2 hours before the lesson, so reschedules usually happen ahead of time rather than at the last minute, and the slot can go to another student. You see the updated calendar right away, with no calls or back-and-forth. This works on every plan — email reminders are always included, SMS is on Pro.

I teach some lessons offline at home and some online on Zoom. Can I keep both formats in one schedule?

Yes, offline and online lessons can be separate services in one calendar. Set up, for example, an "Offline lesson" and an "Online lesson" with their own duration, price and format description, so the student sees exactly what they're booking. Every lesson, regardless of format, lands in the same shared schedule with a buffer between bookings, so you see your whole day in one place instead of two.

Parents ask for reminders on Viber, while students mostly live on Telegram. Is that possible?

Yes, if you've connected your own bot on Telegram or Viber — reminders then go out through that messenger. Email reminders are included on every plan with no extra setup, and SMS is added on Pro (250 messages a month, then packages). The channel is chosen per booking based on what the client provided and which bots your business has connected.

I sell lessons in packages of five, paid upfront. Can I set up that kind of booking?

No, package bookings aren't supported yet: one booking is one service with one specialist for one time, and there are no recurring lesson series. The workaround is to pay for and book each lesson separately — the student's full lesson history still lives on their card, so you can see they come regularly. Lesson packages are on the public roadmap, with no launch dates promised.

My students find me on Instagram, and I don't have a separate website. Can I take bookings straight from my bio?

Yes, just add a link to your booking page in your Instagram bio or stories — students and parents book right from their phone, with no need to visit a separate website. The booking page works 24/7, and confirmation arrives as soon as they pick a time. If you don't have a website yet, Domovleno creates a branded booking page for free, and that same link works for Instagram bookings.

I prepare students for exams like IELTS, or teach maths or coding — how do I set this up?

As separate services for each subject and format, each with its own length and price: “Maths exam prep, 90 min”, “IELTS Speaking, 60 min”, “Coding online, 60 min”. If the same subject costs differently with different teachers, those are separate services too. Lessons are one-to-one only: there is no group booking, and you add regular lessons ahead as separate bookings. You send the online lesson link yourself — say in the service description how and when it will arrive.

Honestly about scope: what Domovleno doesn't do

Domovleno is booking, reminders, the student base, payments and analytics. There are no homework assignments, grades or teaching materials — this is not an LMS. No group timetables yet either: we're about one-on-one lessons; lesson packages are on the public roadmap with no promised dates. You run the online lesson wherever you're used to — Zoom or Meet — while Domovleno keeps the schedule and reminders.
