Questions tattoo studio owners ask

Our deposit is only part of the session price, not the full amount. Can I charge just a portion upfront?

No, online payment at booking takes the full price of the service, there's no separate partial-deposit mode. A workaround is a separate “hold my spot” service with the same duration as the session and a small fixed price: the client books it instead of the main service and pays the rest in person. Or simply take the full session price at booking — which is what most studios end up doing, since it protects an artist's day the most reliably.

A guest artist works with us for a week or two. Can I add them to the calendar just for that period?

Yes. Add the guest artist as a separate staff member with their own schedule, set their working days for that window, and remove them once they leave. While their schedule is active, clients see them alongside the rest of the team and book the same way. There's no extra charge for an additional artist — the plan price doesn't depend on staff count.

Can clients book a flash tattoo directly, without a separate consultation step?

Yes. Create a “flash tattoo” service with its own duration and fixed price — clients book it directly, skipping the consultation. If larger pieces still need a consultation while flashes don't, keep both services listed at once: the client picks what they're actually booking, and the system never confuses the two durations.

Our clients sign a health questionnaire and a consent form before a session. Can that be done in the system?

No, there are no consent forms or health questionnaires in the product — Domovleno doesn't manage contracts or procedure protocols. Booking, reminders and a client card with notes do exist, so a short note about an allergy or contraindication can go into the notes manually. The actual signed form still needs a separate tool or paper, same as now.

A client already no-showed once. How do I see that before confirming their next booking?

There's no automatic blacklist, but the full history is visible in the client's card: how many visits and cancellations they've had before. Opening the card before confirming a new booking is enough to spot the pattern. For such clients you can leave a manual note or turn on payment at booking just for them, so a no-show costs more than the artist's lost time.

Honestly about scope: what Domovleno doesn't do

Domovleno is booking, reminders, the client base, online payment and analytics. The business site has a gallery of up to 12 photos of your work, but there's no per-artist portfolio, no design gallery, no supplies tracking, and no contracts or consent forms — designs keep being agreed wherever suits you.
